JFH and Tisdale linked too.....always the same names it seems.

Jackett/Pompey seems a good fit. Tisdale interviewed for Portsmouth a few years back.

The confirmation of Cook seemed to take ages.

That's because it's the same people doing the linking - their agents, a couple of bookies and those few sports journalists that bother to look this far down the ladder

I read that Michael Appleton is being linked with the assistant manager position at Leicester.

That would be a blow for them.

Michael Appleton has told Oxford's staff and players he is leaving to become Leicester's assistant manager. #OUFC #LCFC

Pretty reliable the chap that tweeted that

I'd be a bit miffed if I was an Oxford fan. Appleton has to be their best manager for donkeys years (who took them up to Division 1 with us in the mid 90's?). The timing is irritating too.

I imagine they'll be able to attract a fairly decent replacement, mind. They seem to have a pretty healthy budget for L1.

Probably get Cotterill or someone of that ilk

Would find it satisfying if Appleton leaves. What with the takeover falling through as well the piss stains are having quite the unsettled end of/pre season.
