Italian owners seem to have a very twitchy finger when it comes to managers.

No it was upstairs, I am going to ask on Facebook now as its bugging me, we used to always go on a Wednesday night. Edit - I have asked the question, however on reflection it might have been called 5th Avenue - this would have been in c.1990-91

Yeah I assume 5th Avenue turned into the Studio, it was dreadful but not quite as bad as Park End which was rough as a badgers arse - but still better than most that Witney could offer. Amusingly I had a little google and whilst it confirmed the 5th Avenue/Studio issue it also popped up this little nugget which is relevant to the wider issue... Beauchamps - a recently opened gay club, if you're not that way inclined it is a good place to go early on for a drink as it doesn't get busy 'til 12.00.That cannot be coincidental!

Wonder if Sheff Weds would have made the POs if Cooper had been appointed last year?

No, but it wouldn't have been his fault!

I think I only ever went to the Palace twice and both times were after I had left Witney to move up north, I was always more of an Eagle Vaults type....

Hmm, bet their fans like that after McAnthony talking about wanting experience of the division to get them promoted next season

And if he does get them promoted next season, will he be deemed experienced enough to have success in the second division, or will he get the axe with three years still to go on his contract? I keep expecting McAnthony to jack it in but he seems to stick with it regardless of the regularly dashed optimism.
