To think, only a few weeks ago Whelan was questioning whether Everton were 'big enough' to lure Martinez away from Wigan.

I stand corrected.  The guy is clearly a cunt Wink

That Whelan changes his mind on a whim.

Either way, He got his FA Cup so he can retire happy now.

The one that slipped through the net.

A certain Mr Lomas has been named as the new Millwall manager.

We've never lost a game or even conceded a goal under Lomas!

There have been rumours to that effect from well before the season finished, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

If you read the BBC story it all sounds a little Spenceresque.

Not a manager, but Joe Kinnear installed as DoF at Newcastle. Odd:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22928641

In his interview with talksport last night he apparently named his predecessor Derek Llambias "Derek Lambezee," Hatem Ben Arfa "Hatem Ben Afri," Shola Ameobi "Shola Amamobi," and Yohan Cabaye "Yohan Kebab."

He also claimed to have won manager of the year 3 times, when he's only won it once, said he signed goalkeeper Tim Krul when he was actually signed by Graeme Souness in 2005, and signed off with: "I heard a silly comment of 'what can I attract?' I can open the door to any manager in the world, anyone, that's the difference."

I really want a journo to ask him if he'll phone Ferguson/Wenger/Guardiola to prove his claim. Hell, I really want anyone to ask him to prove ANY of his claims.

I like how he called every Newcastle fan/member of the club a moron right at the end too.
