Paolo has never threatened us...or stated he intended to sue us....others have done that for him.

The new owners said a threat of legal action from an ex-employee was causing issues and they weren't talking about Bodin. PDC's agent had the opportunity to clear it up and refused, if there wasn't a possibility he'd have said so. It also appears the rest of his team refused to finalise their employment with us. All of which points to only one thing and if it isn't the case then it's something PDC could and should have cleared up - he's not normally shy when it comes to giving interviews or comment.

I see they're going through the whole 'fascist/don't want him here' argument well rehearsed on here...

Someone should mention how well he does in derbies, as they are due to play Newcastle in a few weeks.

Yikes

Currently 1986 replies in one giant merged cluster-fuck of a thread, and he's not even their manager yet!

As i said Paolo has not threatened us with any action...end of story.

People like you prefer to go along on the wave of emotional shit the local media outlets spout out.

Is there a possibility he could....who knows...certainly not you.....or me come to that.

Being accused of trying to sue his former employers has the potential to be very, very damaging to his reputation.

If he has no intention of suing, he would have said so by now.

Any club that would choose Di Canio over Di Matteo must be crazy!

You would have thought so....but the fact he is being lined up by a Premiership Club and looks like the new manager seems to suggest its as not as damaging as you say.

So are you suggesting he needs to comment before he takes the Sunderland hot seat....course he isn't......and believe me Sunderland wouldn't give a fuck.....they would just do the decent thing and make sure any contract they draw up is honoured....its the best and easiest way of not getting sued. Cheesy

You have made my point even more valid really.

He hasnt made no comments on the matter....unlike many others who havn't a fucking clue.

Relatives of mine are very mixed over it, a couple of my cousins want to give him a go but after asking how he was here they aren't so sure he can handle not only the current predicament they're in (having no real experience of managing at that level let alone fighting a relegation battle) BUT as has been said on here about his management of 'bigger' players!

With the deal all but done it seems he'll be unveiled tomorrow! I've also been offered a ticket for Chelsea v Sunderland next Sunday...not sure about what my reaction will be towards PdC after everything that happened here (both good and the bad)!

Most clubs would likely care a lot about the possibility of hiring somebody that may sue them at some point.

Sunderland may not be one of those clubs but that's not the point because many others would be adverse to employing staff with a track record of suing past employees. His beloved West Ham included. If he's been on the look out for jobs, which evidently he has, he would not want the accusation of making a law suit against previous employers over his head. Of course he wouldn't.

It would be effortless and cost less for him to deny the allegations, which are quite serious. He hasn't done so.

Its certainly going to be interesting. As Major says, he's never had thing go badly on the field before so it'll be interesting to see how a relagation battle goes.

Match of the Day will have to be extended from its normal slot to 4 hours long to accommodate his post match comments.
