Interesting because I've heard that Portsmouth have got their top negotiators on the case to try and get rid of Barker.

Portsmouth will go down unless they get rid of Barker. The guy puts teams out that just can't score. Torquay are doomed, Northampton have really started to pick up so the way things are going Pompey will occupy the 2nd relegation spot.

What would that be, 4 relegations in 5 years?

I hope Pompey don't go down, despite being extremely badly financially mismanaged in the premiership and suffering relegation after relegation, their fans have stuck by them through thick and thin and averaging 14-15k in league 2 is fantastic under any circumstance.

I know fans don't win football matches, but it to be admired.

I know a lot of Pompey fans and I don't want them going down, yes they have some horrible fans in that but with crowds as big as theirs thats understandable, most of their fans are nice down to earth people.

There is something not right down there on and off the pitch but I would rather the Rovers or Wycombe went down instead of Northampton and Torquay (who look doomed).

Then they'd have no problems with playing Salisbury City and, perhaps, Eastleigh next season.

A mighty decline.

That is a massive decline, definately the biggest decline in UK football history (yes I include Rangers in that) as Luton can not be described as being as big a club as Pompey with all due respect to them.

It's safe to say that Devera and Ferry haven't made a decent impact at Fratton Park. Haven't noted Ferry in their squad for a while - crocked?

Does that Town fan still advise them on matters or whatever his company were doing.

What about Northampton in the 60s?

Rose from Div 4 to Div 1 in successive seasons followed by relegation from Div 1 back to Div 4 also in successive seasons

Ferry has had on ongoing back injury for most of the season and could barely play 2 games in a row for ages, been out for a few weeks now.  Devera started the season playing shite at RB apparently, hasn't played for a few weeks now, don't know why.

Have got Pompey supporting mates and the general expectation among the fanbase at the start of the season was that they would take a midtable finish. The way it's gone hasnt totally surprised them especially since they saw the type of negative stuff Barker likes to play.

Always remember those matches against Pompey in the 70s - seemed to play them a lot then.

Needed a hard hat!

That is true, all well and good going to the ground, but to continue to actually SUPPORT when getting beaten week in and week out deserved credit.
