He is a left footed defender - plays on the left side of defence. What I would describe as a 100 percenter - but makes the odd mistake with his enthusiasm. If anyone remembers Jon Gittens - very similar. Should provide cover and an option on the left - particularly with Comazzi injured a lot so far and Kennedy a bit unchallenged at present.

Left footer? on the Arsenal web site they say hes primrarily a right back/centre half, thats unusual having a left footed right back?

Looks like he has a pedigree though, the Arse do have some solid youngsters.

Sorry to piss on your fireworks but Heath only captained man ure reserve side once or twice when other players were injured, Gerard Pique, David Jones and Paul McShane were captains of the reserve side at Utd.

Cuthbert was captain of Celtic reserves and he did OK 1st season with us.

To be fair Boateng only captained Arsenal reserves for some tournament in the states, that Ignacio Miguel was their regular captain I believe.

Arguing semantics over a pretty irrelevant point though, he's obviously fairly highly regarded and will hopefully be able to do a job for us.

Colin Heath was actually highly rated at United but fucked up his career by not taking advantage of what talent he had, according to my sauces.
