Assuming you are not being sarcastic, I'd have to agree. Was a bit concerned about taking my kids to their first ever proper derby match but it was no problem...... apart from them now blaming themselves for us losing for the first time since the stone age

The only thing the police did wrong was try and walk that crazy Town fan out in front of the Pox supporters as opposed to be taken out the nearest exit!

Agreed and the fact that only 7 people have been charged on what could have been a tinderbox is testament to both the police and the fans, and for the Adver to go all menstrual about it is fucking pathetic Any damage to the Broad Green area would be an improvement anyway

was he an actual Town fan? as the adver said that a Oxford man had been arrested for invading the pitch, he was the only idiot I saw get on the pitch.
I was sat next to some right f'ing numpty, a ginger streak of piss in an Armani Jeans hat telling everyone how he had a carving knife stashed outside he literally watched none of the game as all he did was look at Oxford fans the whole game, tosser.

That was brilliant! He got soaked and pelted. He's from Blackbird Leys, hence the "Oxford man" bit, but is a Swindon fan. The stewards (from Aldershot apparently?) on the Stratton Bank were taking bets on how long until he made a go for it.

To add to this This, coupled with last night's front page, is exactly why the township will never ever get behind STFC The glorification by the hacks at the Adver of what basically was a non event will always give a solid and stable platform to the bleeding hearts and NIMBY brigade. Completely uncalled for and damaging editorial licence ..........................yest again

i saw old bill hitting people in the head from behind. These were town fans, yet the scum who tried to break through just got pushed back into the pack. Do i care? no, but it happened nonetheless.
Why do away fans get let out at the same time as home fans nowdays as a matter of course? Never used to and it enabled home fans to disperse

I wondered about this until a mate, who is a copper in London, told me it was to do with human rights legislation! There now has to be a serious disorder/riot situation taking place, rather than possibly taking place, to hold people against their will apparently. Most forces are shit scared of legal action etc so let everyone out unless it's clearly immediately going to kick off outside. Crazy.

Human Rights legislation doesn't apply to football fans, didn't you read the small print?
