Any suggestions on car parking? I've not been to the new ground before...

I'm told by a Shrews supporting friend of mine that a lot of away fans make the mistake of parking at a large retail park 5 mins from the ground. On matchdays they employ security to check how long the cars are parked and will liberally plaster fines on vehicles. Be warned. And the parking elsewhere around the ground is crap, despite it being out of town. A pub called The Brooklands charges a tenner for parking, and that's 10 mins walk from the ground.

Great! Let's build an out of town stadium and not provide any parking.

At least the pub parking has been reduced to £5  Wink

I'll be heading to Shrewsbury and in search of a parking space. Looking forward to my first away game this season.

Just spoke to ST. A very helpful lady informed me that there is no available official ST parking left. The Brooklands @ £5 AND Pritchards garage opposite also @ £5 are available.

Park and ride seems to be their preferred method of moving the masses or shank's pony.

Other than that it's likely to be a free for all on the council estate or chance your arm at the retail park.

2 in my car and picking my customer up somewhere in Shrewsbury (friends BBQ apparently).

As the SS man on the Great Escape says to the POW getting off the bus, "Good Luck".

Driving up from Surrey on my own. If anyone wants/needs a lift from the South East then PM me - my fuel rates are very competitive and my choice in power ballard based music is awful.
Not looking forward to this challenge of finding a parking space though.
