Right I guess Im the first Townender who went to post then. Fucking embaresment, but Im going to Middx V Gloucs tommorow so I need to preserve my wallet and my gut (to some degree). And I only went cos a few mates said theyd pick me up after work. Pleasantly suprised by the quality team we put out tho, basically the first XI. Whalley is slick as fuck. He is a smooth smooth operator. He played some passes that the other lads simply were not picking up. Better passer than Migs and seems to have great positional sense. To me he looks like hes got 'a football brain', quality. Could be a joy to watch this season? Perhaps too simmilar to Migs to play together? we shall see. Thorpe and Cureton had some decent link up but both look out of sorts, especially Cureton. Nicolau looked good first half, much improved than on Ciren. Migzy was putting himself about a bit more, went in for a few crunching tackles  , but I think we all know he cant play that game, it will be the end of his season before september. Pleased to see Fallon get a goal, he really deserved it, he was unlucky 3 times at Ciren and 3 times before he scored today. Shakes needs to improve his crossing but has potential to excite. Roberts played the wing without a single utterance of complaint. Thorpe though, IS mouthy, he has a real go when the ball doesnt come his way (but its not always a bad thing, esp if hes popular in training, he will get away with it). Overall not too good though. Nowhere near a team, still just a group of quality players. Very nice non league ground though. Away segregation. Good terracing. Good cover. Good bar.

Nowhere near a team, still just a group of quality players. Very nice non league ground though. Away segregation. Good terracing. Good cover. Good bar. Bit harsh! I didn't think we were that bad, played some tidy football and looked fit enough. Still a little rusty and the players really do need to gel. Stef was head and shoulders above the rest today, top drawer and Whalley looked handy as well. In fact, I was impressed by all the new players, they all looked quite good. Nicholas was well out of sorts though, very poor. Bulman didn't impress me much either. Best bit was when the Aylesbury lad came on and set up our goal, absolutely brilliant I took a load of pictures, you can view them here.
