half of everyones police will be stationed in the major citys so they probably dont have any to manage the game

Who's policing the other 44 games that are on this weekend then?

This is an apsolute joke i cant belive it, the riots are over, if they were concerned why not bring it fowerd to 1 or 12 oclock.

That would have been a comprimise that rational people could have come to.

This is just the Police saying, we dont want to Police you any more. Fact is, they werent needed anyway. Useless Force. Last time we played there this group of Chelt Yoof were outside a pub surrounded by coppers, a few of them had a bit of a go at us, but we walked on. Glos Police decided they needed to Sec 60 us, even though none of us had gesticulated back. We walked on to that Cat and Fiddle pub, there were about 60 Swindon in there. About an hour later they escort this Chelt Yoof lot into the Cat & Fiddle pub and stand outside, with us lot still in there. Amateurs.

What a joke.

Nottinghamshire police manged fine with the Forest/County game on Tuesday, a bigger game in a city which had proper trouble going on.

Bet there's not many and they're alot more high profile than our game, and in alot more "troubled" areas than ours. Estimated attendance 6,000 max. Its farcical mate. There is no defence even if you have a crystal ball.

Even the fucking prime minister said they should go ahead, muting the prospect of perhaps an early kick off. Whatever your political views i'm sure Cameron knows next to fuck all about football, but even that seems to more than Gloucester's finest.

Have to agree with the majority on here. If other forces were making the same decisions then I'd understand, but when all but one of the games in London can go ahead, along with the Forest vs County game the other night and (seemingly) the Brum vs Coventry game this weekend then its a joke to call off a game where there'll be 5,000 people in a match and town with no serious likelihood of any trouble.

Its nothing to do with the trouble in other cities. This is because the police force in Cheltenham feel they have to provide a presence in the town centre to stop more trouble kicking off.
