Not been this excited about a season in god knows how long!! Incredible to think we're coming into it off the back of relegation to the bottom tier. It feels to me like a new season post promotion! di Canio appointment has been a masterstroke. Roll on tomorrow. Hope everyone has a cracker of a day!  Pint

Me too. I'm really excited about tomorrow but there's that nagging doubt that it's all going to go tits up.

Tomorrow evening is going to be either a massive high or a major low!

None of us know which

Didn't sleep too badly apart from pigging a load of choccy biscuits in bed in the early hours and waking up feeling a bit sick. Let's hope I don't have the same sick feeling tomorrow evening, or if I do it's just the beer

I slept ok last night. Quite looking forward to the new season but have some trepidation after last season's first day defeat that I also flew over for.

Flying over tonight and spending the night in London with the new other half and then getting the train tomorrow, arriving into Swindon at 1 ish. Bit of a different route for me pre-match so hopefully a change of luck (my recent Swindon record is pretty terrible)

I imagine it's a bit like getting an invite to a pool party at Barrymore's.

I'm just happy to have something to do on a saturday afternoon again

We'll draw or lose. Whatever the result is, it will have little to no bearing on how the rest of the season pans out - opening games rarely do. Regardless, I am looking forward to the barrage of extremeties which will be postedon here from 5 onwards, positive and/or negative.

As the 5-0 drubbing at Gillingham proves. I think we'll win tomorrow and I also think we will be very hard to break down at the back. 3-0 to the Town!

Agree Herthab, I haven't seen any of the pre season friendlies, so can't judge the players.
But I'm expecting to see a hard working side that is hard to break down, I think we will be hard to beat this season. I'm not expecting free flowing football, I can see us getting a lot of 1.0 wins.
But that suits me fine.

Sounds like you may be on the same train as a few of us London lot BO. Coach B if you're on the 12.00, we'll be in the middle of 500 Millwall fans!
