Misplaced passes, log ball bombardment and comedy defending?

Been a while, about 14 years and 5 tries since we beat Alex at the CG....in all that time, they've stuck to the same template,... passing football.  This would be a massive game for us to win...

And if we don't win, I presume we're doomed Reg?

Of course not, but we've a massive weight of a historic poor home run hanging around our neck and the sooner it is cleared the better.

BBC reports that Crewe will try to beat us in the first game of the season? In other news bears have been seen wandering over to the nearest wood clutching a newspaper.

Been reading elsewhere from Crewe fans how Dario Gradi is the master and will teach PDC a thing or two with his tatics etc. Yet they are in League 2 like us. We have no reason to fear anyone in this division.

Crewe haven't signed any outfield players this summer which is a noble, cost effective but mighty risk.

A fair bit of pressure on Shaun Miller this season too.

Luckily, I don't think Di Canio and his staff will have under-estimated them.

It will be tough.

i'm not sure anyone will be losing sleep on friday night over our poor home form against crewe, it's the first of a number of games we must try to win

No, but they might lose sleep if they know we're on the longest winless run at the CG since moving there in 1896....this is what I want to see go on Saturday.

For me the slate is wiped clean. Its irrelevant to me, different squad, different regime.

Well let us hope our ambitions dont hit the buffers, the train, ing is good and we build a good platform to wait...i mean build on.
Let us hope the result is just the ticket and that the only thing late is our winner.
I am hoping that i dont have to chew, chew the hot dogs so much and that our plans for promotion are not de railed in our first match.
I am hoping to get steamed though i know that is out of fashion so will ware my diesel jeans to feel like a modern man.
Will have my usual Crewe cut on Friday and it just remains for me to say that there is only one team worthy of being called the Railwaymen........SWINDON FC.
