Apparently we might be getting a midfielder from Tranmere called Gary Jones as well. He's the sod who scored the 90th minute winner at Prenton Park in the 03/04 season. He's very versatile, can play anyway on the pitch apparently (defender midfielder striker, not sure about him as a winger though). Wouldn't be a bad signing, but not stunning either. I see Whalley and Smith, if we get him, superb captures and exactly what we need mixed in with the exciting signings of Cureton and Thorpe. Blended with a bit of youth in Smith and Shakes, we should be sorted! |

Blimey - at this rate (if we get Smith as well) we may have a midfield that can hold the ball instead of being as permeable as wet bog roll for once. Starting to feel better and better about next season.
