A family affair for the Rissers at Town

SWINDON Town could boast a pair of brothers in their starting eleven for the first time in over 50 years after Wilko Risser arrived on trial at the County
  Ground yesterday.

I can just see the headline now as he bags a brace against our yellow friends.  Wilko takes the Riss out of Oxford

I'm not sure about this.  Call it a gut feeling...but I'm not convinced.  This signing needs to be a 15 to 20 goal a season man.

Agree Ardiles, really wanted to see a player with some experiece at this level come on. He could turn out to be brilliant, but it is a risk.

not sure about him really.  looks as if he can score a few with his head which is part of the target man requirements, but not sure he could hold the ball up that well.

His career record to date is 28 in 133 games

Slightly different stats to his german wikipedia page, but found a link to his career to date

"Just been down at CG for PDC's Reading preview. W Risser is currently only training with Town and not on trial with a view to possible move" (Gary Rose via Twitter)

Ooh, he played for Eintracht Trier, that's less than an hour down the road from me.

That standard is very poor.

[Please be assured my tongue is planted firmly in my cheek] And yet you only just found out.  Does no-one support their local team anymore?

My local team is Avenir Beggen (about 3km from me) and I go and watch them home and away. Die Hard me!
