Wilko Risser, brother of Town captain Oliver, was due to join up with Swindon for training today, the Advertiser understands.

Don't know what standard of football that is, but he knows how to head a ball, and appears to have a knack of being in the right place at the right time

I see so many video clips of possible signings where they prick about and not score, lots of clever flicks and good crosses - all this chap seems to do is put the ball in the net, mainly with his head. Certainly looks big and strong, like his bruv, needs to work on this goal celebration though, simply running really quickly isn't going to cut it I'm afraid.

Had a peek at the Southend forum to see what they had to say. Very positive reviews from the people that saw him play on trial in the week, Most wanted to see him in action again.

"Risser - best to last. Tall, some skill, committed, looked reasonably fit, passed well, looked dangerous and would like to see Hall in the team with him so he could be supplied with some decent ammo. Do not allow him to take free kicks though, his one effort is still rising and possibly now nearing Norfolk"

"I was quite impressed, has a touch of class at times, was very entusiastic which you don't often get with trialists..you could tell he really wanted it. Was great to see a complete stranger engaging with the regulars and trying to get them to play his way. Clearly an intelligent player and knows the game. Too early to say, but definitely worth another look. He was head and shoulders above the other front men. Great touch to set up final goal as well as assist for pen and scoring himself"

He has been playing in the German 4th Division and scored 0 in 10 last season by all accounts

surely it would show a severe lack of ambition by him and should be labled a 'shit bottling cunt' if he were to come to us given it would be the easy way out having a brother for club captain?

Maybe his celebration should be to pretend to roll a cheese along the pitch, don't knock it, there have been sillier ones

He looks pretty handy and a decent player. It's hard to work out what level that is though, especially with no stats on Wiki at all, which implies, much like the crowds, it's at quite a low level.

Still, YouTube makes him look like Ibrahimovic, so sign him up.
