Now on Channel 4
Interesting how Bryan Robson is involved in trying to break FA/FL rules.

They said the Pox were 1 of 3 football league clubs up for sale.

But the problem with Pox is that Kassam owns the stadium.
Their only assets are the players, and you wouldn't get much for them.

It's been years since O*ford sold a player for a decent fee...probably getting 150K for Dean Whitehead in 04 the last time. They did get a bit more from a sell on this year though.

A few years ago, there was a Panorama programme which made allegations about one of Fergie's sons, who was an agent, and since Fergie has refused to speak to the BBC, even though since last season he has been breaking Premier League rules.
I assume, with all these allegations about Fergie and his close ties with other managers about the loaning of players, he will not be speaking to anyone at Channel 4 now !!

There has been various speculation about Ferguson and his dealings over the years, with stories of Fergie making players sign with his son's agency. There was talk that his son got a fee when Man U signed Taibi (remember him?) and when they sold Jaap Stam to Lazio.

Comedy goalkeeper wasn't he? Didn't he let one squirm in on his debut then blame it on not being used to the English game! ?

He let in a very weak Matt Le Tissier shot go straight through him on debut. They sent him back to Italy within a year.

Taibi played 4 times and I'm pretty sure that his first two games were actually 'man-of-the-match' displays. Then the Southampton draw and a 5-0 loss to Chelsea followed and that was that.

The way Fergie withdrew all his loanees from Preston last year after Darren got sacked always struck me as a bit cuntish.

Fergie got his mate Tony Pulis to recall all his loans at Preston at the same time, which is what they were talking about on the programme.

No wonder why they dropped like a stone. If I was a Preston fan I'd be absolutely fuming!

Am i the only one who saw this as "well we took all this footage so we may as well make a programme out of it" Sure yep the guy wanted to have fingers in more than one club and yep that's illegal but it seem to me this was all part of the bravado and business talk when the reality always was they would have to go through the proper channels and now would be found out.
I just took on face value what Bryan Robson was saying and could not really disagree or doubt his connections. People buy football clubs as consortiums all the time. I'm probably playing slightly devils advocate here but the dark moody music over certain facts about the "relationship" between the guy and fergie was almost trying to make up he even knew him when it's obvious he did. Fergie has obviously had to back track on his connection but it's clear and confirmed later he was a friend
We all know football works this way with favours for each other and so on, It's always been about relationships and who you know. It just seems this documentary is about 10 years too late.
Next week, "players found to be tapped up while under contract shocker.
