Gooch's record is 'only' against India though.  He should be chasing down Len Hutton's 364, top English Test score ever.

There goes Morgan. 104 almost unnoticed.

Got home and switched on just in time to see Morgan chip it straight to Sehwag. Marvellous.

Now Ravi's forgotten he's playing an off-spinner.

Sounds like Bopara's had a mare. Prior gone too. Hopefully Bresnan can up the pace a bit.

Think that could be Bopara's last chance with Trott likely to be fit again for the 4th test.

Bresnan's moving the score along with 31*  Cook has moved to 270*  The question is how much longer do we bat for?  Haven't looked at the weather forecast for the next couple of days but I would hate for the weather to have a say in this match.

The forecast isn't too bad. I can see rain getting in the way a bit, but even if we were to bat the rest of today it would leave us two full days to bowl them out, which should be plenty even if it does rain.

I can't really see any sense in staying in any longer.  Cook is still 30 runs off the 300, and it's not all about him anyway.  Team game.  Let's get them in and take a wicket or two before close of play.

Could well be. About half an hour bowling at the Indians.
