Wrong time to be redeveloping when you're on a downward trajectory. Let's have the team at least pushing for the Championship before we finalise any plans. If we try this in League 2, we'll end up hiring a consultant who will advise we build to 12,000 capacity and, at a stroke, we'll have fixed a ceiling on our ambitions for the next 40 or 50 years.
We need to be on the up before we start thinking about this again...or we'll end up with something tinpot like Oxford.

And splitting the redevelopment would add cost, and make the project more difficult to manage.

You might not have noticed, but the economy is fucked both locally and nationally. The current owners arrived with their plans just before the Banker's induced crash....so their ideas flew out the window.

Sorry guys, I was taking the piss, but I didn't anticipate no one catching on - probably didn't make it clear enough to be fair. The "some" was aimed at Oxford having 3 stands using this very logic. And because they're Oxford, will remain having only 3 stands...  |

Plus the new stadium needs to have facilities to create a revenue stream other than football which I believe are also a major part of our plans not only the capacity size.

If you build a 3 sided ground like Blackpool or the Pox, then you basically have to get in the Premier League to finnish it off.
Pox wont have 4 sides again unless they leave the Kassam.
A 3 sided ground is an absolute curse.

I love our stadium. If we could just build a new Stratton Bank Stand and put ALL the away fans in there I think we would have more than a decent ground for a few years.
