I think Dickinson is on the radar as now we have spent a lot of our budget and we are now on a Bargain hunt.

That's complete and utter bollocks. Why the fuck would we ever be after him? Anyone who thinks he's the real deal is clearly wrong.

Eh?
What is/was our budget?

What have we spent so far?
All I can think is £30K for Smith.

I imagine we have a fair few quid to spend if need be.

I think the issue will be hitting the wage cap rather than having nothing left for transfer fees. We may of course be well below our % of predicted income limit, but the £25 match day prices and Paolo's "pay good wages" quote make me wonder if thats true.

That said, he is still confident of getting players in so we must have some wiggle room.

Dickinson would be a desperate signing, I'm pretty sure we can attract better players than that, there are plenty of bottom half League 2, Top Half Conf strikers we would be better off with, as has been shown with Alan Connell!

Have to say di Canio has gone up in my estimation, for his headband comment....we were always in trouble last season for having 2 in the side.  Think it's possible to live with one though.

It was difficult for PDC to sign players while the club was on tour abroad (not having a pop at the tour at all, I bet it was brilliant for them).

Hopefully get business done a bit more quickly now.

The transfer fee raises eyebrows. But thats what will happen if we are trying to complete the squad with transfer fees before deadline day.

Eh?

PDC can still go for players while on tour, e.g.
- Pick up a phone and call someone
- The board can do the face-to-face discussions / interview

Our key priority (obviously not the only priority) is to get ready for the 1st match and that is what the tour is delivering, e.g.
- Building a team atmosphere
- Getting the team fit
- Instilling PDC's tactics
- PDC analysing who does what and what their capabilities are, which will clearly mean PDC will know their strengths / weaknesses, then look to fix the weaknesses by more training / new players

So for PDC to purchase players quicker, then they turn into flops, a la Dossevi, would you be happy with that?
