Anyone know what the record is for the earliest in the season that a team has been promoted? Anyone think we can beat that?

All I know is that in the old 4th division we had been promoted by the 8th April, that was with 7 games left to play.

Luton must have set that when they started on -30?
Although Rotherham and Bournemouth both started on -17 that season as well if I remember correctly.

We're much better than that - we've already got 0.

Was that the year before their promotion season?

We hold the record. In the season we were demoted we were promoted from Lge 2 up to Lge 1(Championship) without kicking a ball.

Anyone know what the record is for the earliest in the season that a team has been promoted? Anyone think we can beat that? The bookies think we can be promoted, evens, 9-1 for the title, Crawley are 3-1 for the title and odds-on to get promoted. I think we will be promoted before Crawley!

I (as probably 99% do) lie somewhere in between. Need a striker or 3 but signs looking positive so far. Not that we'll really know much until the start of the season.
