I don't understand how we have taken two steps back

I think he means 10 steps forward, 2 steps back. To imply we've worse off than when Fitton took over is idiotic. Unless he means in a league sense in which case it's blinkered belligerence.

i was being a bit rhetorical.

I think he is referring to us not having a complete squad yet, which must mean we aren't trying or something

Lets just sign a couple of strikers and I will be a lot happier.

But L1 players these days are desperate not to drop down to L2. Most of these players have big ego's and they dont like demoting themselves. In the eyes of players back in january we were still last seasons play off finalists, still League 1 and well saveable. Now we are a L2 club with half a first team and 90% of L1 players wont touch us with a barge pole.

Repeat to self - Reasons to be positive - Di Canio, our midfield, and Jeremy Wray. But the Pox game is too early and our 38 year unbeaten home record against them is definitely in danger.

Hopefully PDC can tie up a few deals whilst he is out there. Either loanees from the likes of AC Milan, or permanent signings from elsewhere. Wishful thinking I know, but I trust Paolo to have a team fit to take on League Two

Paolo, it's Paolo.

That's a pretty ridiculous statement to be fair, considering we've not even played a pre-season friendly, let alone kicked a ball in anger let alone the fact that for those same reasons we have no idea what O*ford are going to be like Roll Eyes
