hello
i've recently discovered my dyson is shit and barely gets cat hair out of my carpet.
could anyone advise whether i should buy or rent a carpet cleaner or if i should get someone in to clean it for me?

Don't know about the carpet cleaning but laminate flooring might work or alternatively shave the cat, everyone loves a shaved pussy  |

the carpet cleaners you can buy are shit. if you carpets are really grubby get someone in to do it, my dad is a carpet cleaner and they look like new once he's been round.
but a bit of cat hair shouldn't be too much of a problem. are there not attachments with the hoover? we've got a shitty old half broken one and it does the job (we have 3 cats) with a bit of effort. failing that the sole of a clean trainer is good for getting hairs up off carpets.
all depends how dirty the carpets are and how lazy you are really.

Sounds like the brush roller in the bottom of the dyson isn't rotating - tip it on its side while switched on and check it. Simple to put a new drive band on if its not working.

The amount of shit threads on here is increasing at an alarming rate.
Recently we've had Garage Roofs, Mobile phones, Kindles, Plumbing and now fucking Carpet Cleaners.
The last, decent NSFW thread was fucking ages ago.
Is this how far we've sunk? A thread dedicated to the best way to get cat hair out of a carpet?

I can see how Herthab could be disappointed. Imagine a thread being put in general discussion with the title "carpet cleaner" being a thread about carpet cleaners. Who'd have thunk it.
I'm sure if it had been more obvious he'd have avoided the thread totally.
