right, got an 18 month contract with vodafone last August (paying £15 monthly for the works) and HTC Legend phone which I was happy with. I then dropped it in a puddle and it was then driven over with screen cracked etc...I had no insurance but the mrs did through  some stagnant bank account she had so we claimed on her insurance before closing down her bank account.

I was expecting them not to be able to repair it but to my amazement they did, or so I thought. Phone works fine except the signal is shocking and works intermittantly much to my annoyance.

So, with the insurance cancelled I'm kinda stuck for ideas - was thinking of visiting the vodafone shop and just saying the signal is shite and seein if they can do anything given that I've had the phone less than a year?

Any other ideas chaps??
cheers

Sounds like they didn't fix it properly. Provided it wasn't too long ago it should be irrelevant that you've now cancelled the insurance as it happened when it was insured, so they should still fix it properly.

How long ago was the repair?  Ring up the insurance people and see how long the replacement was guaranteed for. I don't think it matters you NOW don't have insurance. Surprised its the same phone back mind, they are usually referbs..

I can only see two other options:

Option 1. Ring up Vodaphone and plead for a freebie replacement given the circumstances,
Option 2. Buy a new phone and sell that one for spares or repair on ebay (screen has to be worth something).
