Timlin will be a good player for us this season-if he stays.

Ritchie worries me as he's already been quoted as saying he wished he stayed at Pompey.

Where are these quotes and are they actual quotes from him and not just heresay?

Ferry and Dougie will be the midfield.

Ferry and Dougie will be the midfield.

But both will at some stage pick up suspensions and injuries, so Timlin and Smith provide the cover.

Always liked JP, always expected to see him go, so nothing too surprising about the move. I always thought of him like a lower league Beckham. Completely devoid of pace and was never going to beat his man on his own, but capable of beating his man with great crossing and when paired with an attacking full back made for an immense right side.

Quote from: Greg Abbott
He can operate out wide or through the middle and will definitely add a bit of steel.

No he can't operate through the middle, unless you happen to base your opinion on the results of an imaginary through the middle competition against the white goods section of Curry's.

Even in my imagination in that contest he'd place a respectable second to a feisty upstart Hotpoint washer/dryer. Its 1600 spin cycle just proved to be too much for him.

I also wouldnt call the occassional bout of petulance as steel either.

I don't have any problem with this, he's just expressing some feeling for the Club.

If all these players leaving wanted to be in div 1 that badly why the hell did'nt they try harder last season. A division higher but apart from the blades hardly bigger clubs. As a few others have mentioned the first thing I also thought was we must be close to revealing a few new players, bad PR if not.

I see the advertiser have tweeted that McGovern wanted to be close to his family.
