Wray is wary of 'Leeds factor'

JEREMY Wray feels no game can be considered an easy one next season, with Town's interim chairman mindful of how teams responded to playing Leeds United when the West Yorkshire side dropped into
  League One four years ago.

I was saying this to a work colleague last week, looking at that fixture list for next year its hard not to get big club syndrome.
We really need to keep our feet on the ground as for many clubs next year especially with di Canio in charge we will be the team to beat for bragging rights.

Not really DMR, I think the point is fans will want us to be one of the teams they beat. If only because of Di Canio being a name.

Clearly any financial advantage we have over a lot of division 4 is much smaller than a successful Leeds had paying in division 3.

The financial advantage is irrelevant because we seem completely reluctant to use it.

We're not a massive club - say we have gates of 6-7k next season (maybe more if we do well), that wont put us significantly ahead of many other clubs... Leeds were MASSIVE for L1, fuck me they're a massive Championship club. The comparison is a joke, in my opinion.

Financially yes I agree with you.

But I still say we are a bigger target than most because of our manager being a name, and because we are one of the relegated clubs (though since we have no squad left, and because we finished hopelessly bottom I doubt we will be a useful 'yard stick').

Don't think anybody looking at our squad right now would fear playing us!
