Nah - footy has never been about that.  The wider problem, and the reason City have gone down this road, is the lack of lower league football exposure on normal telly.

Premiership - whole show.  Championship - whole (but terrible) show.  Both on at the weekend.

League One/Two - bollocks programme tucked away on a Thursday night showing highlights from five days ago.

Nothing is better that showing how exciting the game is, and I simply don't think you'll tempt the fringe supporters with a 30 second spot in the middle of Footballers' Wives or sommit.

Can't help but think it will turn out like a retail outlet ad, the sort you see offering cut price carpets on Sundays.
