Kimono My House.

This Town aint big enough for the both of us blew me away, couldn't buy the single in Rumbelows or Kempsters(only two places you could buy them in those days i think)so i had to spend my whole weeks pocket money on the album because the song was on it,around 50p if i remember right.

Incidently Sparks were/are a great band and very under rated, but then most of the best bands are.

Bossanova. Not Pixies' best record but that is like picking Messi's worst goal.

Other than one or two of the early 70's cover compilation albums mentioned on the singles thread it was this one.

Kimono My House posted by leefer was also an early album - a year later than this one I think.

Outlandos D'Amour (nomoreheroes posting) I have on blue vinyl - excellent album

I still have the original record but nothing to play it on! Neil, Hole in my shoe was a classic.

Really? You started buying records late on! I would've thought in your teenage years you were into The Osmonds, or The Rubettes.
