I see they haven't been overly original with their new ground. Identikit mini Leicester Ground by the looks of it.

Clearly a vast improvement on the Memorial Ground but it would be nice to see a bit of innovation with new grounds.

Very little to get excited by there in terms of design but, as you say, the Memorial Ground has had its day.  What capacity are they thinking of?

They already had stadium plans approved etc and were going to Groundshare with Cheltenham until the contractor went bust or something? Those plans were a lot better. Atleast it wasnt a shitty bowl.

For now yes. Due to relegation apparently.

Not ditched as such, more 'put on hold' while we see if we can turn things around after last season

Fair play to 'em. They know the Mem is falling down so want to move. Ideal location to drive to, shame about the train though!

Still don't get why clubs near to each other are so opposed to ground sharing. Surely the benefits of ground sharing should exceed the rivalry between City and Rovers? They'd get a far better stadium for far less money.

Bristol UWE is a shithole and full of townies*

Far too big for Rovers or Bristol Rugby. Should be looking at 15k max.

they all think that if you build it they'll come - darlington, MK etc.

Cobbs for example were very wise when they built sixfields, perfect size
