Charlie Lee won player of the season 2 seasons in a row at Peterborough, would be a good signing but is very similar to Ferry or Douglas, and he has played for Gillingscum on loan so he may favour a move to them.

But would the experience of having seen the dystopian horror of Gillingham at first hand not make him less likely to want to go there?

ferry may be under contract, but Douglas isn't and either could yet leave. so I wouldn't discount him try.
it'll be interesting to see whether players will choose to sign for us in an even contest with another club simply because we have di canio.

Despite a difficult week at the FIFA congress Blatter still finds time to show his support for Di Canio

and demonstrates his vision for dealing with future corruption in FIFA

Charlie Lee in talks today to sign for Crawley along with Chris Whelpdale too.
They must have a mighty big wage budget, or have found a way of flouting it the same way Peterborough and Notts County did.

Charlie Lee is a Left sided player that could play left back or in midfield I believe. Would be good at L2 level and my mate who is a Posh fan rates him.

Given Crawley's very small support base, I suspect the latter!

I so hope Crwaley go under. Whelpdale is a decent player though

This is what the Cheltenham chairman had to say about Crawley signing Wes Thomas
"I've heard the package he (Thomas) is on and he wouldn't get that at a lot of clubs in League One, it's staggering.
"It shows the money someone is putting in at Crawley to sustain the wage bill. They're not doing it on gates."
