I had a good albeit drunken conversation with Paul Bodin last night and what a nice man he is. He has a meeting with Di Canio on Wednesday in which he will discover whether he still has a role at Swindon Town. He genuinely seems to think that he's going to be shown the door. I for one will be extremely pissed off if that turns out to be the case. It was clear just how much the club means to him and he does a bloody good job with the youths.

You should have got him to read the beeb site.... might have put his mind to rest a bit.. Bodin has Swindon Town future under Di Canio - Wray
Swindon Town manager Paolo di Canio wants to keep former caretaker boss Paul Bodin on his staff, according to chairman Jeremy Wray. Youth team coach Bodin took charge of the Robins' final two games of the season following Paul Hart's departure. He publicly stated his desire to take the job permanently, but the club opted to appoint former West Ham striker Di Canio instead. "He is very keen that Paul is part of his set up," Wray told BBC Wiltshire. "Paul is an integral part of what we've done so far and I hope that continues. "Paolo is going to have to use his knowledge and he'll be wanting to work very closely with Paul to get to know the players in the first team and as a link to the youth team, as he is vital in knowing what resources we have there."

I'd be very surprised if he was shown the door. It's easy to see why somebody who genuinely cares about the club should be behind the scenes.
I expect it is on his mind, put that's quite natural when there are a lot of changes occurring.

I believe he was actually offerd the N02 role and turned it down so he can work with the youth team still.

I hope he stays and it would be nice if he had some sort of coaching role with the senior team he's done well with the youths for a few years so maybe it is time to step up

Bodin as 1st team coach/reserve and youth team boss I think. We need someone here who knows the club and someone who can help PDC with his lack of lower league experience.

that's too much work for one bloke. i'd keep him in the role he had been doing.i see no reason why he shoudn't continue as youth team boss

Big step for him if he does, prob hard for him to make up his mind if he was offerd it, although he might feel abit pushed out aswell.

Believe he was offered the same role here and turned it down.Albeit very different now as he is obviously best mates with him.
Adver running a story tomorow apparantly.

Bodin will leave for Torquay no doubt! Fair play to him, I would have chosen Bodin over Di Canio to be honest but i am sure PDC will do the job.
