Shit!!!

That makes the £400 odd per year at Woodbridge Park (7 days) seem like a positive bargain. How much did he have to pay for a pint?

Not sure but i watched the Open Qualifying there a few years back and it is a suprisingly long course, for a handicapper anyway.

Record crowds there today on Seve Friday,Watched Howell both days and made the cut easy.Par round today including a treble bogey, which curtailed his challenge to the leaders.
Cracking day there today,Seve would have been proud of the turnout.

Good luck with that.

Donald today was incredible how he came from plus 5 for the day to level.
Howell is only 6 back after a battling day and a one over round which included two DB,s.
He is out in one of the last groups tomorow with Wiegle though i was hoping he would get paired with Mcilroy who is on the same score.
My feeling is that a player could come from the pack and post a score, either way i am looking forward to the last day.

what do you make of the course changes leefer?
are you with poulter and casey in their critism of it?
i think they should just get on with it.it's the same course for all of them after all.

Course changes are ok and good shots are rewarded, bad and its a bogey minimum.

I agree with them about the last hole and would have maybe made 17 the real toughy(its relativly easy with a good tee shot) and kept 18 as it was because the it makes it exiting for the crowd on 18.
Only the real long hitters can reach which is good for the course but not so exiting for the crowd on 18.
The difference i have seen is the lack of back spin on the balls now the ball has been modified, only real quality wedge shots result in back spin and very few get spin with a 1-9 iron now.

Don't like some of the changes made to the greens, 8th and 9th spring to mind.

I was there Thursday, shit weather. Highlights included:
Monty's tee shot on the 11th flying 6 inches in front of my face.
Getting a "cheers buddy" from Rose after finding his ball following a wayward tee shot on the 4th.

Great shout, looking very good, although it looks like going to a play-off. English golf is flying.
