Sad to see Cuthbert and Douglas go.

No room for sentiment I suppose.

Confirmed on BBC Radio Swindon

Offers

Nathan Thompson, Mark Scott, Michael Timlin & Lescinel Jean Francois all offered 1 year contracts.

Outs

Jonathan Douglas, Vincent Pericard, Scott Cuthbert, Polish keeper Jesionowski  & Alan Sheehan

It doesn't say anyone is definitely out on the OS.  It says that so far these are the offers that have been made and the club will put out further announcements on the other out of contract players or the ones with contract options in the ensuing days.

Sorry but the radio says different none of the 5 listed as outs will be offered contracts. I wouldn't take any notice of the OS site either the news on there is so slow updating and out of date recently

I'm wondering if money is not the issue.

I'm wondering if Douglas & Cuthbert didn't express they wanted it enough.

I just figured that Cuthbert, Douglas and Pericard were different as we had options to extend.

Cuthbert was our most used player and Douglas our skipper... Surely, they'd release a statement instead of saying "those not on the list have not made it."

I would assume we have not picked up the option years for Cuthbert and Douglas due to wages. I do however think we will negotiate with them again as free agents to get their wages lower and re-sign them on different contracts on lower wages if they really want to stay.

Ofcourse they will get more money elsewhere but...

Wouldn't be upset if that's how it turns out. Neither Cuthbert or Douglas lived up to their form from the previous season... not that many did.

Seems strange we didn't offer cuthbert a deal if only for him being under 24 and we could have got some cash on tribunal?

At least Timlin gave a damn and put in some effort when brought on.

When you look at it in black and White, we offered contracts to those who gave 100% when brought on as opposed to players that consistently underperformed.

Tbf, I'd go out there and give 100%. Doesn't mean I'd deserve a contract. I can't see Timlin being more than a bit part player next season (I hope not anyway), so it suprises me we've offered him a contract
