As we all seem to be rather excited about Paolo’s appointment and the breath of fresh air blowing through the CG, do you think we now have an opportunity to come up with some new songs to replace the tired old crap of recent seasons?
Maybe something with an Italian theme or nicked from Lazio etc?
I would welcome the chance to belt out a few new numbers but my cup of creative juices does not exactly ‘runneth over’ so I’ll leave it to the wordsmiths amongst you to come up with the goods….

When....you.....raise your right hand, to the curva nord stand....

No, no, we've left that behind now.

I'd be happy with any songs provided there's no drums involved. Last season I heard a fan with a drum far too much. I'd like to think someone will kill him eventually.

Is it we are Paolo's Barmy Army?

or Paolo Di Canio's Red and White Army?

BBC documentary from 2002 here on Lazio's Ultras.

PART 1

PART 2

PART 3 (May need to sign into Youtube to watch this because of adult content apparently)

Blimey - wish I'd not watched those clips now, it has somewhat deflated my 'excited balloon'.
Would I be the only one who is a little uncomfortable that our new hero is so revered by fans like that lot?

I went to watch Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest on the last day of the season and I was impressed with the Palace stand's chanting duringthe game.  Reminds me of the chanting at Italian games, and they kept it up for most of the 90 mins.

Here's a video of the song that they kept going for 20 mins or so ("..we support the Palace, the Palace, the Palace, and that's the way we like it, like it, like it...etc")

Someone on ThisisSTFC said about changing the celery song to Spaghetti and throwing spaghetti sticks at matches. It's completely and utterly fucking ridiculous but i think that's the appeal

That is awesome, although would be better if we completely changed the song tom something Paolo related.

Spaghetti! Spaghetti! When Swindon win, hear the Town End sing.....something or other

Was hoping for something my kids could sing along with.... don't fancy having to explain that one  Sad
As for the Palace clip, thats a bit more like it! (without the drum backing though)

But it could be changed to something more Paolo related.

In other news, weve had an ultras style supporter element, albeit alot smaller than the Holmesdale fanatics, for far longer than Palace as far as I'm. Id really like the appointment to reinvigorate the Swindon ultras

Maybe we could get the Town End to adopt Joe Dolce's Shaddap You Face.

Could be a belter!

Actually, the more I think about this, the more I really like it.
