Di Canio will boost the gates, ..
Perhaps, but I for one certainly won't be there if he is appointed. The Town can kiss goodbye to my family's season tickets.

While I do think he's a great up and comming manager, I do think this is our chance to appoint a manager in the same spirit as Macari/Ardiles/Hoddle.
Di Canio will boost the gates, and he will make Swindon games must watch. Too many armchair fans at Swindon who dont turn up because they dont think they'll miss anything. Well with Di Canio you will miss out, one way or the other.
Style over substance maybe, but I dont really care. Want some excitment, want to be the biggest club in the league.
I don't care about being big. I just want us to win the league or at least go up in some form or another. People will watch if we are doing well regardless of who the manager is. Crowds didn't really drop much when Wise left us in L2 last time.

so you keep saying. Re the crowds. Usually wouldnt be that bothered. But if we average less than the Pox next season then our fans can literally hang their heads in shame. Next season its personal.

Well done Juddie. Twitter does give a wonderful insight into how many self-important little shits pretend they know something.

All the more reason not to appoint a divisive manager then. Quite aside from the two massive games against Pox, we'll need everyone pulling together next season if we're serious about coming back up

I'm finding the longer this goes on the more I don't want Di Canio.

Could be wrong, but I honestly think most fans couldn't give a shit about his political standings, so the fan division would be negligible on that front.

If it's Di Canio I can't help but feel next season is going to be like riding a rollercoaster, drunk, blindfolded and without the safety belt. Fear of the exciting unknown

didn't know where to put this seeming as there are so many damn threads, but mark scott tweeted just now that he knows who the manager is, i tweeted him to ask who but he hasn't replied yet! so i assume there will be a press conference tomorrow, although that was likely to be the case anyway!
edit: just seen it in the other thread!

I was going to wander down for the press conference, but I'm going to be horribly hungover and asleep. Presuming it happens today.
