This appointment shows that the compensation to Leicester wasn't in fact the reason we didn't get him.
Can't have been much if they managed to get him.
I'm not sure we ever tried to get him. Was it even confirmed that he applied? I'm not sure it was and have a feeling it was just media bollocks.

I thought he did, but as you say it probably was bollocks.

I saw Didi Hamann at Leicester Races once.
True story.

There were definitely conversations between the club and Hamman....personally I'd have preferred him to di Canio. However what's done is done.

I would have agreed with you at the time Reg, but I have to say I am warming to PDC with what he has said and done so far.

Not according to Wray, he said as much on the radio interview, that he knew nothing of Hamann being linked with us.

I must admit I did at the time aswell, Reg. Paolo has impressed me since though.

If he's applied for Stockport then I think its a safe guess to say he would have applied for other lower league jobs. So, applying to manage us would fit.

Doesn't matter anymore does it. I'm pleased with PDC. He impresses me more every week.

This is a terrible decision by Dietmarr Hamann, and one that he will come to regret.
I can only wish Stockport the best. It could just as well been us sliding into oblivion.

He lives in the area,my feeling is that they will bounce back up. A small stepping stone for him before going on to bigger things.
