These are not alledged beliefs. He is a self-professed facist and totally unapologetic about it.
If Di Canio is ok for you, then who else would you accept if they were good at the game? Peter Sutcliffe? Fred West? Pol Pot? Bin Laden? Robert Mugabe? Gary Glitter? A bit of a silly list I know, but there are times when you have to accept that some things are bigger than football.

All those have done something tangibly wrong, therefore that list is ridiculous.

And so has Di Canio

He proudly claims to be a facist (although he somehow manages to separate facism and racism!) and is lauded by organisations such as Stormfront (a white supremacist organisation). Is that wrong enough for you?

If you equate making a salute with murdering your daughter, fucking kids, terrorism, doing a rape/murder on hookers, then i think you need to have a look at what you stand for.

It's not the salute.... it's what the salute means! And yes I DO equate that salute with mass murder, rape, terrorism and genocide.

I think you'll find that anti-semitism and genocide ARE in fact illegal.

Oh right and your link alludes to Di Canio doing that does it. Who did he kill.

There is no way you can separate the facist salute from what facists did and what facism means. It's plain and simple. Di Canio is a facist. Facism is wrong. I can not support a facist. If the argument is fucking boring there is nobody forcing you to continue to take part in it.

Yeah.

But political beliefs are not, are they?. This topic has already been done a death anyway, did you choose to just ignore all of that?

Dorset, I'm on your side in this in terms of being resolutely opposed to Di Canio being allowed to besmirch the club and for the same reasons. But please, this really has been done to death (not least by me, Bangkok Red, Lumps, mrverve et al). Can we not let it lie till Wednesday (or whenever we know who the new manager is) at least?

Fully support your right to have your say on the issue, but have a look back through the various threads on this and I think most of it has already been covered. Three or four times.

Oh, and for Christ's sake, at least spell fascist correctly. There's an "s" in it Smiley

they are if they lead you to contravene the law. Im pretty sure that "the final solution" (one of the corner stones of faScism Wink) could be considered illegal.

That's not a capital 'S' by the way.

Paul, I know this has been discussed in other threads but I am just gobsmacked that we can actually have apologists for a NAZI on our forums.
Personally I think there is little, if any chance of him becoming our next manager but sometimes things need to be said.... and said..... and said.
If I were to deliver the same salute as Di Canio in my profession I would be sacked immediately (and rightly so).
