I went to the Exeter 0-1 Swindon one in 2007 where Pook scored. Too hot for football that day.
Pre-Season games are dull and any further interest is not helped by the fact the bigger clubs now tour overseas.

when i ran a sunday league side i made sure that was our home pitch.1 min walk from my old house.probably the best council pitches too |

Sunday League is competitive... Nothing wrong with that. There's something about friendlies that don't feel right, probably because the result doesn't matter. |

I love friendlies at small grounds myself. They are no gauge of anything football performance related. But there is something about being up close to the pitch with a pint listening to the banter on the pitch (and joining in).
Not convinced about friendlies at the County Ground these days. Nothing exciting in playing a Championship team in pre-season.
