Just to prove photography is more about composition than equipment: This was taken on my iPhone...
So, what you're saying is no matter how much I spend on kit, my photos will always look shit due to my total lack of ability. Thanks for crushing the dream Smiley

It could be worse, he's only gone to the effort of editing mine because it was so bad!

I actually think it's a good photo but even the best of mine benefit from some cropping... It's good to see that Paul knows his level on the subject Wink

Heres a couple of pics I took with my Bridge Fuji HS10.

This was the first time I ever used it so wasn't expecting fantastic results but they came out OK.

The pic of the golden man was at full 30x zoom while the pic before it is at wide angle to show the difference in the shots from 1 extreme to the other.

Agree that it's mostly all about composition, but better quality cameras/lenses do help! Here's some I've taken on my phone & compact. I like to think I have an eye for a photo, hence me wanting a DSLR.

And I know cropping's cheating, but I like this one.

I did these messing about - thought they were quite funky ?!?

So how do you capture something like that, other than with split second timing and a quick shutter?
