The more I think about it the more I think Hamann will be brilliant. When I heard it this morning my initial thoughts were not bad, he'll do an okay job and he's a bit of a name.
The more I think about it the more excited i'm getting. Played in a world cup, captained his country, champions league winner, completed coaching badges, held coaching positions and has played in the bottom two leagues late on in his career so has some knowledge of this level. I don't see how there could be a better 'first time manager' candidate. Hurry up and announce it Jeremy!

Either Hamann or Burley for me. Hamann would have contacts at Liverpool and Man City to get loan players in.

Everyone says the announcement will be Wednesday, which seems a bit soon as the candidate will have to agree terms, etc. Unless they are on it already. I'm hoping for Haman on Wednesday. Which means it'll be Rix on Thursday!

WTF did 'Roberto' have to do with anything in you horse racing 'clue' Reg?? Nothing....just a bit of bollocks as the thread developed. My original post alluded to our man having a bit of back room experience and probably now wanting to go alone.

An excellent theory DRS, but unfortunately I've heard nowt about Fowler, so it would have been remiss of me to get peeps hopes up. Doesn't mean it wont happen mind
