Reading the a couple of pieces in the Adver, it seems to me that the club is drip feeding info to us about not wanting to appoint Di Canio. You've got:
The list of those names that have been linked with Town is impressive, but the higher the profile is the bigger the concern that such a manager would only be using Swindon as a stepping stone to move to a club higher up the league ladder. (note, not the first time they've said this)
and also the story regarding the GMB trade union.
The GMB trade union has said if di Canio is given the job, they will be forced to cut all ties to the club as he is an open Fascist and admirer of Mussolini.
Not happening imo.

I'm not convinced this whole fascist 'issue' even exists to 99% of our fans. It's a classic example of a few internet based characters typing their extreme views out to each other. It's like shouting in a padded cell.
I might be underestimating it but I really don't think a few 'strong views' on here reflect the 6,000 or so paying customers who just want to see someone to unite the players and get us out of the basement.
The guy for example who rather dramatically proclaimed "if you keep on typing what you're typing I'm going to stop supporting Swindon" is fucking laughable! Get a grip man.

The problem is that when certain individuals think of Fascism they immediately think it's the same as Racism and Nazsim.
It all comes down to knowing how to distinguish between the two.

Who gives a crap if they're socialist? They could be fascist anarchists - that still wouldn't change the fact that I don't own a car. Not that I condone fascism, or any ism for that matter. Isms in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an ism - he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon: "I don't believe in Beatles - I just believe in me". A good point there. What about prisms...they're ace. Lennon actually believed in "Yoko and me and that's reality"...think there's a bit more to life than "me".....too much of that about today.
