Good.  I like the idea of Wimbledon going up, but wouldn't mind Luton either.  I'm just glad that I've been both grounds so I can inch closer to the 91 (fuck franchise).

I would find it highly amusing if the Wimbledon lot turned out to be a bunch of knobheads, especially after all our support towards them post-MK.

Now 8-1 on aggregate to Wimbledon. Fleetwood taking a real battering.  Girl Giggle
Still a fantastic season for them though to just be up there in the playoffs.

Neither should be down there in the first place but for gross miscarriages of justice by the football authorities. Arses.

...but definitely not racists.  Or did we agree they were that too?

I don't like Luton for some reason, probably their old pitch, and I have never really had as much time for Wimbledon.  I hate MK for the way it was handled, plain wrong, but the club that was Wimbledon would be where they are now anyway I think, plus they once had Barton playing for them, whose existence annoyed me, along with Carlton Palmer, but that's a whole different club to be annoyed by.  In fact, I don't like very many clubs, I hate loads and would wish ill on plenty.

Not Luton! Simod Cup semi final! Bamber through! Twunt in the crowd blows a whistle. Bamber passes ball to bastard Sealey rather than shooting! We lose because of it. Still scarred to this day!!!

Once Wimbledon are back in the League, I think I'd think of it as 'job done'.  I could then move on.  The wrong would have been righted to some extent.  Obviously, we would need to play them twice next year and, at that point, they would need to become just another club - instead of the pet project that I've been looking out for for a while.

From Wimbledon's point of view, promotion would mean a few questions having to be answered.  If the extent of their ambition is League 2, then Kingsmeadow provides them with a long term home.  But if, as I suspect, it isn't - they'll need to think again.  And they know from bitter experience that ground redevelopments in that part of London are not easy to arrange or finance.

The other question they'll want to understand is what the true extent of their fanbase is.  I work with a Wimbledon fan who tells me that crowds these days are actually slightly lower than they were immediately post-Franchise, even though they have worked their way up through the leagues.  For the first time in years, they are not the Man U of their division.

Luton would be my favourite for promotion from Division 2 next season if they win via the play-offs in the Conference.

Come on Wimbledon
