Goal helps Timlin's cause ahead of contract talks

MICHAEL Timlin will be hoping to convince interim chairman Jeremy Wray today that he is worthy of a new deal at Swindon after expressing his desire to play a part in the club’s push for promotion
  from League Two next season.

Timlin has started 3 times as many games as last season so has had a fair look in. It's scary to think he's been with us 5 seasons and has only been a regular for 1.5 of those.

Think he'd do better to get a contract with Sturrock.

You could argue he's good to have as a sub.

I beg to differ. He's better when he starts, does nothing as a sub - probably down to tactics.

But what's he achieved in 5 years? Time to let go in my opinion. He's got a good attitude etc. but we can't get sentimental if we want a clear out. When we let Peacock go it did us good.

If he's happy to be a bit part player then keep him, he's handy back up.
Personally, if I was him, i'd be looking for regular football elsewhere, but if he's happy here being used sparingly then keep him.

Timlin is a definite "keep" for me - Douglas, Ferry and Timlin would mean we always have a decent starting pair next season - let Prutton go.

I'd keep him. Decent enough at league 1 level let alone league 2.

Would rather keep Timlin than Prutton but only one of them is out of contract, if we can get some blind sods to take Prutton off our hands then keep.
