Unfortunately he is going to go, which I reckon is a shame as Sheehan playing well is a much better player than Rose. He will be missed when on top of his game but if he`s not interested then he can fuck right off the cunt

He is a waster. Seems to struggle to motivate himself.
Good player on his day, can run a game from left back.

Adver man on Twitter is saying this morning that Preston won't be following up their interest.
Or, as he put it, "there interest".

Agreed spence, on his day he can be fantastic. It usually follows up with an injury which keeps him sidelined fir 3/4 weeks though. This is probably why he is only a 60% effort player

Really liked him when he first arrived, happy when he signed this year, but he's been a let down, not helped by injury, suspension and Wilson playing one-trick-pony Rose ahead of him. That said, I only want players who want to be here. If he thinks he too good for us, he can hit thr road and continue his journeyman career....

Sheehan, like most footballers, probably has quite a high opinion of his ability but I very much doubt Danny Wilson only wanted to get him until the end of the campaign. The Football League career is uncertain so to sign a small contract is potential career suicide.
Sure, decent names like Preston North End will want to take a look and I dare that his C.V. has the names 'Leicester City' and 'Leeds United' in font size 30 (in bold) but he's not done anything of note for a good couple of years now.
Good luck to the guy but in order to get that 'big move', you've got to work a little harder.

He was just keeping his options open. The club hasn't spoken to him about a new contract so he was free to go and have a trial at Preston. The club had no problem with that.
Look at it from his point of view, he needs to look after himself imo.
Maybe the timing wasnt right, I can agree with that. Maybe he should have done it after this weekend.

its similar to austin/cox, there are ways of doing things. He thinks he is far better than he really is

That's the point though. It's the player / fan relationship. There's certain unwritten rules that players should follow. Openly saying you're too good for the club whose fans pay your wages and get behind you each week is not on and shows a complete lack of respect. Fine, have a trial at Preston. Do it this coming week or in pre-season. Not during the season - club consent or not. See you at Whaddon Road Alan.

I actually rate him though, that's the thing. I would like us to offer him a new contract.
The only problem with him is that during a season he will get his fair share of injuries and suspensions which is a shame because the guy's got quality.
