Bodin blasts want-away Sheehan

PAUL Bodin has expressed his disappointment with the conduct of Alan Sheehan following the Irishman’s decision to go on trial with Preston this week, and warned any other Swindon players
considering following suit not to expect to be involved in Saturday’s game against Tranmere.

I assume the club either gave him permission for talks OR he is entitled to go and talk without permission. It doesn't make any difference anyway, he's going so who cares.

I hope we aren't paying him this week?

Well seeing as Bodin said he dropped him as soon as he heard last week, I doubt it.

I meant in the sense of contract arrangements etc. And the fact we're also still paying Grella...

Dropping a player is one thing, terminating a contract is another.

We wont terminate his contract and will probably continue playing him until July, all clubs are shit scared of the Players Union and Football agents.

But what if he wants his contract terminated? Surely he can't be contracted to 2 clubs at once.

Doesnt tend to work like that. Why would Preston want to pay him for the next 2 months? If he signs a contract he will be their player on July 1st.

Just like Paynter last season.

If there were several clubs chasing then it would happen. I can't see many would be interested in Sheehan, he's been shit and disinterested all season.
