Where does it say that Fitton has offered Hart an extension?!

It doesn't

It does seem as though Hart has to consider some kind of deal, but it doesn't say in what capacity. Taking into account his mood and actions after that meeting on Saturday, I'd say he was NOT getting the managers job.

Just to throw a spanner in the works but how many wins under Paul hart in next seasons campaign would it take before the Town End start singing "Paul Harts red and White army"

I'll get my coat

Very few.. had we beaten Dongs and County, Hart's difficult media persona would have been viewed as Cloughesque.  Problem is we didn't..

I reckon he's been offered a role upstairs with Trollope to come in as coach. Seems feasible to me. If the job was on a plate for Hart he'd take it. He's been going on and on about how he's wanted the job for ages now. Unless of course he is worried because the fans hatred towards him?

Agree with Bangkok Red  it appears he has been offered a post but not the managers job ,he said that the challenge for next season his one he would like, and he has previously stated he wanted the job permanently so if was offered surely he would have jumped at it and not wanting time to think it over. I feel certain the offer is another post within the club

Why talk about a "decision" though?

Maybe it's the decision on if he'll bother hanging about for the last two games?

I'm being thick here, but can someone show me where it says the job is Hart's to turn down?
I must be as thick as you Samdy - all I can see is pretty much precisely the opposite of what Bart claimed in the opening spin of this thread, ie Fitton accepting responsibility for the fuck-up this season has been (repeatedly) and no mention of offering Hart the job. The polite praise without any such mention reads very much as a "thanks for all your efforts but it just hasn't worked out" style comment aka "don't let the door slam on your arse on the way out". Does Fitton say anything different in the TV interview then (can't see it from work) or is this the usual "2+2=Hart's going to be allowed to come round all our houses and poo on the carpets"?

I just got a reply off Nick Watkins regarding the e mail I sent about Paul Hart's rude, arrogant and unprofessional way he conducts himself in the media......

Dear Ralph,

Thank you for your e-mail and the content noted.

Saturday was a somewhat emotional and disappointing day for so many, many fans and of course for those of us who work tirelessly off the field trying to re-establish the club’s reputation.

Let’s all hope that these are the darkest moments before a new dawn.

Best wishes and thank you for your kind comments.

For god's sake. I just read the BBC article and Fitton seems to be happy with Paul Hart.
He's happy we conceded less with him.

WELL MR FITTON, YOU'RE GOING TO FUCKING CONCEDE LESS IF YOU PLAY 4-5-1 EVERY SINGLE GAME. EVER REALISE THAT??

I don't think that any fan wants to hear that their glorious leader needs to think about continuing as manager. Hart should know the problems within and be chomping at the bit to sort it out over pre-season.

Paul Hart is an dour member of the old school and it'll take a monumentous change of personality and tactical idealogy for him to win over the majority... Like Maurice Malpas, like Danny Wilson (in terms of popularity).

Like with Iffy Onuora when 2005/06 came to an end, I think the club needs to start a fresh and I honestly think Paul Hart knows this.
