Do we really want the usual candidates who do the rounds picking up average jobs then move on or get sacked after 18 months.

Lets go out and get a young, dynamic, up-and-coming manager with new ideas and no 'favourites' or 'jobs-for-the-boys' mentality.

Regs' suggestion of Micky Mellon is probably the best I've seen. Be nice for us to poach someone else's manager for once.

Not sure if I imagined it but wasn't it posted that Hoddle then two other former footballers who are part of his youth academy thingy have been at the last two home games? Wonder whether the future could see us with someone from Hoddle Academy as Director of Football and coach who is charged with bringing on Hoddle's proteges? Hmm, sounds a bit like the dodgy thing that brought Razak and LJF to the club - but possible I suppose.

We could finally give Coleman at Accrington the break he must be craving? But on the other hand the McMahon era makes me throw up at the prospect of us becoming a Scouse enclave in the south again.

I still say it was shit even though we were two divisons above the dungheap we will be in come August.

I'm sure there are many who will come up with all sorts of reasons why Luc is not suitable, but, unless he has changed his mind of course, the one big thing in his favour is that he actually wants to be manager of Swindon Town. For me, that puts him way out in front of all other runners and riders.

Adi Boothroyd, Alan Irvine, Phil Parkinson, Alan Curbishley all decent enough names wanting to get back into the game but would any of them drop to L2 - perhaps it depends on how fitton sells the club to them - club looking to bounce back at the first attempt new stadium in a few years with potentional perhaps ?

Perhaps it is worth us looking around at the younger coaches about and fitton seeking advice from contacts in the game on who is rated highly and would be interested.....

Chris Hughton would be a good shout but for the same reasons as Curbishley I couldn't see him dropping down to L2.
