Town captain Jonathan Douglas has reassured Town fans that they shouldn't worry about what happens to him next season as he'll continue to be paid the same or even more at his next club

The player, who is rumoured to be attracting interest from Brighton and Hove Albion told us "Technically we're in a relegation battle, but if the fans look on the bright side I might actually be getting promoted to the Championship"

Douglas has told fans that it's not just them that feel the frustration of what has been a lacklustre campaign.

"Some of the lads are hurting too, especially the ones that are out of contract" he insisted. "I'm fine though, so fuck 'em."

He also told supporters to take into account that the summer can be a time when footballers have to make a really difficult decisions.

"A lot of footballers are faced with tough choices during the summer months, and I'm no exception. Like should I take a golfing holiday in Spain or should I go to Dubai?"

I'd like to see an ongoing series entitled "The Ongoing Job Search of Vincent Pericard, aged 28 1/2"
