A statue of the 1969 triumph .

Failing that a statue of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper or Elvis or Alex Harvey.

If it's good enough for Fulham them, dammit, it's good enough for us.

Eddie Cochran.  Died down the end of my road.  'Nam not Swindon, but its close enough.

I used to pass every day en route to college. I'm told it's on the wrong side of the road.

Also, Dave Dee of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich fame taught himself to play using Eddie's guitar while a policeman in the area.

I used to live in Rowden Road, just down from the lay-by where the plaque is.

In keeping with the trend for pop paedos I propose a tribute to Paul Gadd aka Gary Glitter.
