If only we'd kept Shakes and Slabber, they scored 2 and 4 respectively today for Ebbesfleet and Eastleigh (whom we could be playing the season after next) - 'least the scum lost, that is the one silver lining of League 2 football

Was there any abuse hurled at the players today or the usual majority clapping the fucking useless lot off the pitch?

"You're  not fit to wear the shirt" from some in the TE after Smith threw them thier goal. Immediately met by even more people booing towards the TE for suggesting it and chants of "Swindon" from the DRS.

I can see both halves of the argument. Yes I guess we should encourage the team whilst not mathematically relegated, yet they are fucking toss and if they'd have been playing 10 years ago the crowd would be so fucking at them they'd be left in no doubt they aren't fit to wear shirt. We've turned into a bunch of Vegan hippies.
----------------------------------
As for the game itself - arrived to see Lucas stretchered off. Thought we were pretty pap up to the sending off. Benyon didn't impress and seems to have no left foot.

After the sending off we had a bit of a go, though I was screaming at Hart to get another attacker on sooner. We looked like we have done most of the season. Huffed and puffed but unlikely to blow over a house of cards. Hard to get angry when they are putting in the effort. They are just too shit.
------
I swear I'll hunt Fitton down and Chinese burn him if he appoints Trollope or Hart next season.
------
Rumours from the stands (no doubt from a bloke down the pub or off the radio):

AOB told to find new club - Hart not going to use wingers as such and he's within a game or two of his automatic contract extension.

Dossevi - Paid off and left the building.

Pericard not really injured. Just doesn't want to play for us again and spends most of his time in the gym on his phone or laptop.

I think silly season rumours are fair game now. The season is over and I'd imagine most of the squad will be moved on come summer.

I hope thats true about Pericard, it would go some way towards justifying my overwhelming desire to kick him in his useless face.

Remember its all silly rumour. Just amusing to repost them now the season is done..

Can't see the Pericard one being true - the medical staff would know the truth if he was faking!!

Also forgot one.Ferry has handed in two transfer requests and Sheehan wanted out regardless of which league we are in. These actually seem more likely given how both have been treated.

I bet if Pericard tried to kick anyone in the face, the useless cunt would miss.

And me. On the Pericard thing, I've been wondering whether the "injury" is really just cover for the fact he ain't gonna play for us again for a while now. Not that he's faking injury, more that it might be a mutually agreed white lie to explain why he's disappeared off the face of the earth. I heard a different rumour about O'Brien though - they sent him out for a run a couple of weeks back and he's just not come back yet!

Poole lost 3-1 up at Whitley Bay in the Vase (5-2) on agg

@leefer played Friday

Hamble ASSC    3    -    0    Brockenhurst

Back down to second from bottom, now that reminds me of something, but can't figure it out

I always recall the documentary on the Town in 1993 and the late Kevin Morris and Chalkie White discussing injuries. Chalkie stated that when the team is doing well and you're in the team you'll play through injury to keep yourself in the team but when a player is out the team they will be in the phyiso's room with the slightest niggle to justify their exclusion! How we could do with a team full of the character and commitment of the Chalkmeister

Popped into the Duke Of Edinburgh on the way home Cheesy

A suprisingly nice pint of Guinness is served there.
