Paul Sturrock's sides are the very definition of direct football, which might be best described as Stoke lite.
Sturrock didn't fancy Monkhouse...but Wilson did.
To get out of Div 4 you need to be at least fairly direct, and score a bundle from set pieces. When Sturrock won the league with Plymuff, his leading scorer was Coughlan the centre half with 11. Micky Evans the epitome of a donkey centre forward who puts it about but doesn't get too many.
Calvin Andrew would do for us next season...
Except Reg with Wise at the helm all season we'd have pissed the league and won it doing cartwheels, Sturrock changed it and we rather fell over the line, so I'm not covinced Sturrock's way is the only way.
